School of Continuing Education of Beijing University of Chemical Technology is an indispensable part of the personnel training system.

BUCT started adult higher education in 1961, after many years of development, it has formed a model of joint development of academic continuing education and non-academic education.

Relying on the academic and professional advantages of BUCT, the school promotes the transformation and development of academic continuing education and non-academic training, strengthening the cooperation with government departments, enterprises and institutions, establishing an effective resource aggregation mechanism, enriching the supply carriers and ways of digital resources, and promotioning the resource sharing of various learning platforms at all levels.

 Continuing education for academic qualifications is offered in the form of non-full-time study at multiple levels, such as high school starting undergraduate and junior college starting undergraduate. In recent years, we have tried to construct a teaching model which includes students' independent learning, lead and assist tutors teaching and management team guarantee.

We have set up off-campus teaching sites in many provinces and autonomous regions, offering subjects such as chemical engineering and technology, safety engineering, computer science and technology, mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, applied chemistry, business administration,public administration, accounting, exploring the form of continuing education, innovating the mode of personnel training, leading the direction of the development of continuing education and further deepening the reform of the system of continuing education.

Non-degree education relies on united chemical industry and preponderant subjects, building a knowledge update platform forin-service staff, and a continuing education system that can coordinate the development of academic education and non-academic education, school-running scale and education quality, and industry demand and market demand, so as to transfer applied talents for industry and local economic development, to provide high-quality educational resources and intellectual support for the lifelong development of enterprise technical and management talents.
